From one woman to another
Diane K. Schmidt, Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker, stands out among therapists because of the extensive experience she brings to her clients. Her therapeutic background as well as years of working in the business world gives her a deep understanding of the struggles faced by working women.
Her own journey through therapy inspired her with hope, provided a place to heal, and equipped her with tools for change. She came to a firm belief in Stephen Covey’s statement that unexpressed emotions that get buried, will manifest themselves later in uglier forms.
Now, with heart and compassion for those who are hurting, she provides a safe space for women to explore and heal those unexpressed emotions. Her calm demeanor, sense of humor, excellent listening skills and sensitivity to women’s feelings, create a nurturing atmosphere where they can break down the invisible walls that separate them from what they want.
Diane holds a bachelor's Degree in Business and Public Administration and a master's Degree in Social Work. She is licensed in Kansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma and is a member of The American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC), and the Grief Support Network.
